Canal House Station named one of 11 NJ restaurants worthy of Michelin stars — Jeremy Schneider, nj.com

For seven years Canal House Station was an expression of our love of food and community. Now we have closed that chapter—the restaurant—to return to writing, photography, and illustration in our Canal House studio. We thank everyone who has supported us. We felt the love.
Every week we sent out our Sunday Dinner menu and heard back from so many people who were inspired by our offerings. Though we won’t be at the restaurant anymore, we will still be cooking (always cooking) every weekend for our family and friends, and will continue to share menus along with recipes with you. Maybe you will start your own Sunday Dinner practice.
If you are already a subscriber, our weekly email will arrive automatically. But if you aren’t and would like to be, then sign up below. If you are interested in Canal House cookbooks, take a look here.

Eat well, be happy.

“Some people travel from as far as Texas and California to visit Canal House Station. Sundays are extra special, as they serve a mid-day Sunday dinner where families get together and connect.” —Stacey Feintuch, bestofnj.com

“Canal House Station is a restaurant, sure, but eating here feels more like an afternoon gathering at the home of a friend who has mastered a certain brand of country sprezzatura.” —Adam Erace, Fortune

“One of New Jersey's hidden gems.”—New Jersey Leisure Guide

“The legendary Canal House cookbook duo of Christopher Hirsheimer and Melissa Hamilton have created a restaurant inside the converted old train station. Canal House Station has earned every one of its three bells for its genuine vision and skillful cooking.” —Craig LeBan, restaurant critic and columnist, Philadelphia Inquirer
